Art Bio:
A native of New England, I came to Lane County, Oregon, 30 years ago. It was the beauty of the Pacific Northwest that brought me here.
Photography has been a part of my life for quite some time now. The beginnings include experimenting with an older-style polaroid camera as a teen, to my first 35mm camera and learning to develop and print film overseas. Later, traveling through the American Southwest photographing landscapes, abstracts, and rock and roll bands using my favorite Kodachrome 64 slide film, and showing many slidw shows in the process.
With the introduction of the Polaroid SX-70 camera and it's unique film, I became intrigued by it's possibilities and developed my impressionistic technique.
I feel I've created a unique perspective and intimacy with my work and subjects; losing myself sometimes in another world of inner discovery and exploration.
I hope you enjoy this sampling of my work.
