Welcome to the New Zone Artists Collective website. I hope you find it easy to navigate and that it provides you with the kind of information that inspires your creative side and demonstrates the versatility and talents of the New Zone members.
The New Zone Artists Collective is a non-profit gallery and organization dedicated to enhance the prosperity of its member artists, provide the community of Eugene, Oregon with visual art in both the physical gallery and satellite locations across the city, and showcase the success of an all volunteer artist organization to the rest of the World. We feel it is important, as artists, to provide the world with beauty, diversity, and social commentary in a non-juried, non-censored environment that enhances the lives of all our citizens. We also believe that fostering emerging artistic talent of all ages creates a world with citizens that are more educated and more tolerant of ideas that may not be their own.
The New Zone is cutting edge, whether its putting artwork on local transit buses, teaching children how to be creative, providing a place where art can continually be viewed and enjoyed, and thinking outside the box to keep the organization fresh and exciting for the members. We have grown from 15 members in 2000 to over 70 in 2008, and will continue to grow in the future. Our long term plans include fund raising efforts to establish a permanent home for the gallery and organization, to establish branch collectives in other cities and overseas, to create educational and scholarship opportunities for the community and our members, and to help each artists fulfill their goals in both business and creativity. In order to accomplish this, we will be asking for the help and generosity of people and organizations who share our vision and want to become a part of the New Zone.
