Email Address: frasure56@hotmail.comDuring the 70s P. D. Frasure earned her BFA at the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA) specializing in sculpture and drawing. In the 80s she graduated from Eastern Washington University with her MA internship in drawing instruction.
P. D. taught drawing for a year through the cooperative extension program at UAA. This was followed by four years of Art Appreciation taught at the Chugiak/Eagle River Branch of UAA. In the 00s she offered occasional art appreciation lectures through the Oasis Learning Center in Eugene, Oregon. P. D. currently studies traditional porcelain painting techniques with Antonia Acock in Corvallis, Oregon.
P. D. Frasure enthusiastically embraces the non-juried philosophy of the NewZone, because this allows her to show the variety of works that have always intrigued her. Three-dimensional paintings, sculptural drawings, and mixed media mountings of porcelain paintings are current combinations of her training. A recurrent theme is Mary Magdalene, a woman both insane and saintly, degenerate and regenerate.
